Caroline Calloway, Client Relations Specialist
Even though she’s officially known as one of Xytex’s client relations specialists, Caroline Calloway knows that her real job is being a cheerleader, a helper, a listener and a friend.
For the past five years, Caroline has been one of the friendly voices that clients talk to when they call Xytex Corporation to ask about a potential donor, how to place an order and how orders are shipped. But even more than that, Caroline and the rest of the team provide encouragement, support and a willing ear when clients need someone to turn to. “What I love is knowing that I’ve helped someone who may have been upset when they first called but who are laughing or telling me, ‘Thank you for taking the time to listen’ by the time we’re finished,” said Caroline.
In Xytex’s busy office, Caroline can answer up to 100 calls and emails a day. And she admits sometimes getting teary right along with patients who call her. “But every time we send out an order and get that call three weeks later from a mother saying, ‘I’m pregnant!’ it’s a blessing. This job is my pleasure, it’s all of our pleasures.” One of her greatest thrills is when she can add another baby photo from a happy mother to her already crowded bulletin board.
While she’s been in the business of helping families, Caroline says her job has in fact helped her own family. A mother (and soon-to-be young grandmother) to three children, 19, 17, and 16, Caroline calls her role at Xytex “an answer to prayer” since it has allowed her to spend more time with her growing children. When she’s not working, she’s busy with her family—whether it’s cheering them on during games, applauding during school band concerts or relaxing on the weekends. “I think because I’m a mom, I understand that desire when you’re trying to become a parent, and it makes me that much more helpful,” said Caroline. “We all want to have a family and be happy, and that’s what Xytex is here for.”
